Just saw on twitter that we have the hardest schedule in terms of games vs rested opponents and games vs tired opponents

Over the past 12 years the flyers have had the second hardest schedule in that regards

To the dude talking about the schedule look at the isles schedule

The islanders dont play as much in the start of the season, then down the stretch play almost every other night with hardly any practice time or rest...I'm not saying the league favors certain teams but it sure looks that way

Flyers known for their slow starts under HackStol. If they avoid a 10 game slid at the start, they will be fine

Come on, any and I mean any east coast team that complains about scheduling needs to just pipe down.

Zamula best young player last night imo. Liked him a lot.
Rest were not that impressive. Clock is ticking fast on Morin.

How long does stewie last in camp?

Bill, A few weeks ago, you wrote a very logical series of articles. Part of which were the probable defensive pairings. However, besides line 1 defense... The rest of the defense isn't playing/practicing (yet?) according to plan. Any thoughts on this? AV seems to be experimenting a bit in the early stages? Should we read anything into play Morin over Myers at the second defensive pairing last night? I did not see the game but a friend said Myers is very noticeable (in a good way) when out on the ice

Prov-Nisky, OK, we all know this was coming.. AV probably trying to give them the most time to get comfortable with each other?

Braun - Ghost versus Sanheim

Hagg, Morin, Myers... others don't have a chance.

I felt like our players were playing responsible or trying to play the right way but in terms of generating offense, I didn’t see a lot. There is potential on that top line we saw last night.

One preseason game in and this is what you're thinking about?

If that line clicks, the Flyers will be in good shape this year.

It's pre season. There's no real pairing numbers in the pre season. Just pairing up players that might fit together to get a look.

Zamula looked good, can't wait until he fills out a little more. Vorobyev had some nice defensive plays as well. He looks to be pushing for the open spot again.

German reminds me of lindblom. He isn't the fastest skater, but is always in the right position.

Farabee looked good, as did hayes. Hayes was showing ratcliffe how to use his body to protect the puck. Voracek looked annoyed last night, not sure why.

Now with all the d we have and with york and zamula in the mix in a year or two....makes me think in another year one of them will be gone.

Stewart is trying. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a contract paying him the same in the minors and plays most of the season with the phantoms.

I thought Farabee and Rubtsov were fine, even though they didn't get much going offensively. Both played solid, smart games. Zamula, minus the late game shot that got blocked and eventually resulted in the ENG for Isles, was really good.

Stewart has been decent in camp. Is in excellent physical condition, playing a little lighter and skating pretty well.

You'll see Provorov-Niskanen tonight. Sanheim was with Myers on Day 1 and 2 of camp. Will play with Hägg tonight. Morin is the one who has yet to practice or play with any of the top 5 in the rotation.

With all the vets signed this summer, depending on who makes the Flyers, Phantoms could run into the AHL vet max rule, wherein they will always have to scratch a vet or two. Never a good situation even when it is rotated in the interest of fairness.

I'm sorry but I'll be extremely dissapointed if one of these kids can't beat out Stewart for a job, and I'm talking more about the kids with time under their belt (Vorobyev/Rubstov)

Pulling for Stewart. Yes Rubtsov was fine I agree should have clarified stood out.

Bill who has a higher ceiling based on what the flyers brass or others think: myers or Zamula?

I agree 100%, loved the way Zamula looked out there, easily one of the biggest if not the biggest standout amongst the young kids to me.

The Hayes line with Voracek and JVR looked pretty good too IMO.
